Green Growth Terms – LEED
WHAT IS IT? LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is a rating system devised by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) to evaluate the environmental performance of a building and encourage market transformation towards sustainable design. It is credit-based where projects may earn points for environmentally friendly actions taken during construction and use of a building. To be certified, 40 points must be achieved. Silver 50-59 pts
Gold 60-70 pts
Platinum 80-110 pts
