WHAT IS IT? The triple bottom line provides a framework for sustainability representing the balanced approach where Nature, People and Business are considered equally in the development and selection of solutions.
Also termed People, Planet, Profit and TBL the Triple Bottom Line is becoming the benchmark for Smart Growth like Transit Oriented Development that promotes dense urban development with mixed land use served by efficient transport systems preserving rural lands for natural resources.
