This really is an excellent tool. I used it extensively to figure out where to live and my “transit shed” when I moved across the country.
I thought I’d point out that Mapnificent is actually done by a programmer in Germany, and is not a product of Google… yet. He just uses their basemap. I think its worth highlighting the innovators making sense of the deluge of urban data that corporations and cities are (thankfully) making available these days.

I have never actually owned an Apple product but I can see the impact Steve Jobs had on the entire world. Just as we are still taught about the titans of industry like Henry Ford and Andrew Carnegie, a hundred years from today people will still be teaching about Jobs.
